Marketing and Promotional Materials Compliance Policy

1. Purpose

Hexagon Training is committed to ensuring that all promotional and marketing materials for Continuing Education activities are accurate, transparent, and compliant with applicable CE sponsor standards in Canada and the United States.

This Policy governs the representation of CE Credit, approval status, learning objectives, instructional level, and presenter qualifications.

2. Accuracy of Information

  • 2.1 Promotional materials must accurately describe:
  • The title of the CE activity
  • The number of CE Credits available
  • The date, time, and delivery format
  • The learning objectives
  • The speaker presenting
  • 2.2 Promotional materials must not exaggerate outcomes, guarantee professional advancement, or imply endorsement by regulatory bodies.

3. Representation of Approval Status

  • 3.1 If Hexagon Training is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists, the required APA approval statement will be used exactly as prescribed and will not be altered.
  • 3.2 If an activity is approved to provide CPA CE Credit, it will be described as approved to provide CE Credit. It will not be described as CPA accredited.
  • 3.3 Hexagon Training will not imply endorsement, certification, or approval by any regulatory college unless formally granted and authorized for use.

4. Speaker Qualifications

  • 4.1 Presenter credentials must be accurately represented.
  • 4.2 Professional titles must reflect current licensure or academic status.
  • 4.3 Misrepresentation of qualifications may result in removal from participation in CE activities.

5. Independence from Commercial Influence

  • 5.1 Promotional materials must not contain commercial advertisements within CE instructional content.
  • 5.2 Sponsorship acknowledgment, where applicable, must be clearly separated from educational content.

6. Review and Approval of Promotional Materials

All CE promotional materials must undergo review prior to publication to ensure compliance with sponsor and ethical standards.

7. Record Retention

Copies of promotional materials for each CE activity will be retained for a minimum of three (3) years and may be provided to sponsoring organizations upon request.

Changes to this Policy

Hexagon Training reserves the right to change this Marketing and Promotional Materials Policy as deemed necessary or as required by law. Any changes will be posted on the Website and Users are deemed to have accepted the updated Policy upon continued use of the Website.
